What are they looking for?
· Minimum of 1 year in a similar role or a degree in a related field (e.g., Design, Psychology, Sociology) with an understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles.
· Understanding of Qualitative & Quantitative Research: Foundational knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methods and when each should be used.
· Attention to detail: You excel at preparing and reviewing research materials and data with accuracy, ensuring the quality of insights delivered.
· Passionate and Curious: You have a genuine interest in UX research and a strong desire to learn and grow within the field.
· Adaptable: You’re flexible and open to feedback, able to adjust to new challenges and tasks.
· Collaborative: You enjoy working in a team, learning from others, and contributing to group success.
Technical Skills
Essential:
· User Research Basics: Familiarity with user research techniques, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and behaviors.
· Data Analysis: Basic knowledge of reviewing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative research data.
· Communication: Strong communication skills, with a desire to learn effective ways to share research findings with cross-functional teams.
· Documentation: Ability to document research findings clearly and concisely for team reference.
Desirable:
· Customer Advocacy: Interest in representing user perspectives in discussions with product and development teams, ensuring the focus remains on solving genuine user issues.
· Accessibility Awareness: Basic understanding of accessibility considerations and a desire to contribute to inclusive research practices.
· Design Basics: Some exposure to design tools like Figma, with a willingness to understand how design and research intersect.
