Our client, a well-respected public sector organization, is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end payroll processing for permanent and casual employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with public sector regulations.
* Support on the administration of pensions, including auto-enrolment, scheme changes, and liaising with pension providers
* Process statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and SPP, and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
* Maintain employee records, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
* Assist with payroll reconciliations, year-end reporting, and P11D submissions
* Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and pension providers in a timely manner.
Previous Experience Required:
* Previous experience in payroll and pensions administration
* Knowledge of statutory payments and pension schemes.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing a high level of service.
* A team player with a willingness to learn and support colleagues.
