As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for: * Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and contract staff. * Process mileage and expenses payments * Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies promptly. * Ensure payroll practices comply with regulations. * Prepare and submit payroll-related tax filings and reports. Maintain and update payroll systems, software, and related tools.Prepare and analyse payroll reports for management, including costs, tax liabilities, and benefit contributions.1st Enable are looking for a minimum of 5 years' experience in processing large payrolls including hourly paid staff. Qualifications in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field are preferred and Chartered Institute of Payroll Professional (CIPP) designation is a plus.This role may be suited to those with experience as a Payroll Administrator, Payroll Assistant, Payroll Officer, or similar.This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check paid for by 1st Enable (T&Cs Apply). They are going through a period of growth and are looking for an experienced client payroll candidate. Key Duties/Tasks: * Responsible for the day-to-day administration of small to medium sized multiple client payrolls with minimal supervision ensuring all required deadlines are met. * Basic knowledge of statutory payroll legislation and ability to process manual calculations. * Developing relationships and supporting clients and internal contacts with any payroll queries they may have. * Basic understanding of pension auto-enrolment compliance. * Liaise with HMRC and other 3rd parties resolving any client queries. * Ensure accurate bills are raised to clients as required in a timely manner. * Ensure that you communicate any problems/issues as soon as they arise to the Payroll Manager so they can update the relevant client partner and/or Tax Director. * Assist and support other members of the team when the need arises. * Use own initiative to resolve any problems and to seek advice when needed. * Ensure that confidentiality and security of payroll information is maintained at all times. * Ensure all applicable laws and regulations are adhered to. * To develop and keep up-to-date with legislative and compliance changes and to ensure that clients are kept informed of any such changes.
