Portfolio refurbish Manchester Office in line with recruitment drive

The Portfolio Group celebrated the refurbishment of their Manchester last week in anticipation of significant growth in the team.  Having an established office in London since the business was founded in 1988, the Manchester office was opened in 2018 to expand their footprint and to become more established in Manchester and the North of England.

Gillian Owen, now Associate Director, was promoted in 2020 recognition of the team’s consistent growth and performance which includes almost doubling their sales figures within the first full financial year; and superseding expectations finishing the 2021/2022 financial year with record yearly revenues.

Owen describes their success as: “Originally we were building on Portfolio’s market-leading reputation and building a stronger rapport with our Northern clients supported by ‘North shoring’. Having thrived recruiting keyworker Payrollers and growing our RPO client-base over the past 2-years; we are now seeing remote & hybrid working patterns allowing even more candidates to move up from the South due to the rising cost of living or/and who are opting for a better work-life balance.”

The Portfolio Group have now remodeled to effectively occupy of the whole ground floor of the iconic Peninsula building in Manchester City Centre with the capacity to seat around 40x Consultants.  Alongside spacious desks, the bright airy space also hosts a comfortable break out/lounge area, kitchenette with a breakfast bar, interview pods and meeting rooms with décor inspired by Manchester’s thriving music scene, motivational quotes and the Manchester worker bee – an emblem for the city; reflecting both the ethics of its Recruitment Consultants and Manchester born & bred MD, Danny Done and his passion of music.

They have ambitious plans to fill the office by 2025 to match the increase in demand and rapid growth demonstrated by repeatedly breaking records.
